Flush out the Fungus & Algae this Spring
Spring is the perfect time to finally get a move on that garden & Greenhouse clean up. Use Physan 20 to disinfect your greenhouse and get rid of bacteria and fungal diseases that are always lurking about after a cold winter.
Fungus and Algae are often scheming around your greenhouse due to the moist and humid environment. These present many problems; not only as unsightly growths on soil surfaces and roots, but also growths on floors and walkways can present a serious safety hazard. Having an abundance of Algae and Moss in the greenhouse also encourages the presence of fungus gnats, which no one wants in their greenhouse. Ever.
Algae-Walkways
For heavy infestation, spray or swab. Let stand for an hour or more. Brush and wash away dead algae. Soak area again with PHYSAN 20 solution. Do not rinse. This product will inhibit the growth of algae on walkways. Allow to dry on surface and repeat application.
USE : 1.5 tablespoons of Physan 20 solution per 3.7 Litres of water.
The Physan 20 ratio may vary depending on how heavy the infestation. If algae growth returns, double the dosage and re-clean.
Disinfecting the greenhouse
Physan 20 works great for disinfecting floors, tabletops, work benches, flower buckets and pots!
The beauty of Physan 20 is it can be used around plants and requires no special safety gear; just mix it with water to the recommended dilution rate and go for gold!
Mildewstat - Table Tops, Floors, Walls and Ceilings
To control mold and mildew on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces (such as floors, walls, tabletops), apply Physan 20 mixed solution with a cloth, mop or sponge making sure to wet all surfaces completely. Let air dry. Prepare a fresh solution for each use. Repeat application at weekly intervals or when mildew growth reappears. Using consistently as a preventative will ensure growths do not re-appear.
USE : 3 tablespoons of PHYSAN 20 in 8 Litres of water.
Pots, Flats and Flower Buckets
Your collection of used pots have been hiding in the back for a while now just waiting to be used again huh? Bring them back to life with a dose of Physan 20 to get rid of any fungus, mold or bacteria that could be stowing away. Initially your pots should be brushed or washed, then soaked in a warm PHYSAN 20 solution for 10 minutes before using for re-potting.
USE : 1 tablespoon of PHYSAN 20 in 3.7 Litres of water.
Work Area and Benches
Before each work period, spray or swab working surfaces. Spray or swab again after each plant is completed to kill such diseases as, Botrytis, Crown Rot, Downy Mildew, Root Rot e.t.c.
